Blithe Riley is a video, performance & installation artist. Her work combines narrative fragments with systemic structures, and explores the operations of spectatorship in various contexts. Incisive and uncomfortable, her works often reveal us to ourselves and turn the audience-performer relationship on its head. Her recent projects explore relationships between space, navigation, and perception in the urban environment. These works seek to unveil dynamics of power and design, as well as the shifting nature of the city landscape when observed through unusual points of view.
